How I Installed My First CometChat Widget (Thank You!)


CometChat's amazing customer support and documentation, I finally got a CometChat chat widget installed on my website and I couldn't be more grateful. When I first started with CometChat's quick-start setup, I ran into an issue because I couldn't figure out my UID, but it turns out that finding it was really easy! Thanks to a beautiful soul on a CometChat YouTube video, I saw the error of my ways and found my UID. After that it was so easy to get chatting on my site. FYI I used the code from their web install documentation page.

I immediately messaged my friends and family to chat with me on my page and they did. I got to chat with my mom, aunt and uncle so far. It was a lot of fun and I am so proud. It was exactly what I wanted.

So, big thank you to CometChat for creating such an amazing product and for going the extra mile to help me get into the game. I really appreciate it. I made a video to thank them and show people how really easy it is.

Now, I wonder if I can create a chat app just for me and my friends?! I would be overwhelmed with joy. The best part is, CometChat has tutorials for so many app clones like Snapchat, WebEx and WhatsApp to name a few. This company rocks.

Also, the potential here, I can almost taste it. They are making it so easy for people to create their own versions of these apps. If I can do it, I bet most motivated people could figure it out, especially with some gentle support. It's a very exciting time for chat.

Anti-Hype Machine and A Change to Website

They were: - Chat GPT is based on established/old tech. - We have achieved the DREAM of infinite television via perpetual AI Seinfeld. - Google is fine, not threatened.  - Actuaries have been aware of "social inflation" as a risk for a while.  Please see the video. Google has created a robot brain called PaLM-E that can do many different things when people tell it what to do.

 SHORT: Google and some researchers from a university made a new smart robot that can do many things without being told how to do each one. It can see things and understand what they mean, like finding chips in a drawer, and then make a plan to get them.
